Bertha Rogers Room
Bertha Rogers lived in Amherst, Massachusetts in the John Washer homestead on Green Road for about 47 years moving in 1956. She loved being able to have a beautiful view of the mountains from her porch. During her lifetime, she was very active and a very generous lady. She donated to many town organizations such as the Historical Society of Amherst. She was a charter and life member of the society. Bertha Rogers died just short of her 100th birthday. She willed the Historical Society $10,000 and willed her home and land to the town.
Lulu Boone Room
This room is named after librarian Lulu Boone. Lulu Boone was
the head librarian for the Sterling Library from 1930-1950. When she
was head librarian, she was very strict. She taught the art of library science to girls from the Sterling area. They were expected to keep the shelves dusted.

Fifi Snyder Room
Fifi Snyder was a librarian her whole life. Fifi knew where every book in the library was, one just needed to ask. Fifi Snyder was loved by everyone who knew her or worked with her. Everyone loves to stay in her room because it is cheery and yellow with flowers, cotton lace, and has the old antique oak furniture. Her son came to visit the Inn and was thrilled to have a room named after his mother. He spoke of her with love and affection. She was loved by her companions.
